Opterrix Launches AI Tool for Insurer Portfolio Management

On October 30, 2026, Opterrix introduced Opterrix Portfolio Management — an AI-based workflow that combines four processes and includes a conversational GenAI assistant.

On October 30, 2026, the company Opterrix (a risk intelligence and exposure management platform) released Opterrix Portfolio Management — an AI-based workflow (workflow — a sequence of steps for solving a task). The tool is intended for insurers: it helps to better understand the portfolio and make decisions on underwriting (risk assessment) and portfolio management.

The program connects four processes: exposure aggregation and data completeness, geographic risk accumulation and capacity management, deterministic scenario analysis (analysis under given fixed conditions), and real-time event response. Previously, these processes were likely managed in different systems or manually, but the press release does not clarify exactly how they were organized before launch. Opterrix also embedded GenAI (generative artificial intelligence) through a conversational assistant: users can query portfolio data, explore exposures, and conduct complex analyses without spreadsheets and specialized technical procedures.

In practice, this means that an insurer can more quickly assemble portfolio data and assess risk concentration by geography. Scenario analysis allows testing how the portfolio will behave under given conditions, while real-time response enables event monitoring. The conversational assistant lowers the entry barrier for employees without technical training: queries are formulated in natural language. Opterrix offers the solution as a standalone product or as part of a modular toolkit. The company is based in Madison, Wisconsin, and provides risk intelligence to property and casualty insurers, reinsurers, MGAs (managing general agents), and brokers.

It remains unknown which specific GenAI models are used, how data security is ensured, and how much the solution costs. The press release also does not indicate which markets and portfolio sizes the tool is available for at launch.
